Flower Feather (FF) is a sleeveless top with a boat neck work in garter stitch knit sideway. Added a color work using German short row.

Please note that garter stitch is stretchable fabric. If stretched horizontally, the width will grow but the height will get shorter. If stretched vertically, the height will grow but the width will get shorter.
The lengthwise of the garment would stretch with gravity if worn. The stretchyness would vary, depends on different characteristic of the yarn, needle and tension.

FF was designed from yarn that I and several friends of mine dyed ourself. The brown one is my doing and the pink one is my friend, Danny’s work.

FF has beed test knitted.

Gauge
23 stitches and 18 ridges over 10 cm (4”) square in garter stitch after blocking.

Materials
Fingering / sport weight yarn for approximately 650 - 1250 m
3.50 mm / US 4 circular needle with cord 55 cm / 22”
Stitch marker, stitch holder or scrap yarn, tapestry needle.
