Flower in a Teacup Pillow
My Flower in a Teacup pillow consists of a 3D daisy growing in a teacup. I originally made this pillow as a Christmas present for someone who loves plants. Then, I made another one with a raspberry background, so I could take some step-by-step pictures to include in the pattern. This pillow works up pretty quickly. The front side contains a little bit of colorwork to create the stem and teacup. However, it is very simple, and I have included a photo tutorial in the pattern to explain it. There is a color chart, and full written instructions for the front side. The flower is crocheted separately and is attached to the work.
I used Rowan Handknit Cotton yarn, but any dk weight yarn will work. For the turquoise pillow, I used 2 sea foam, 1 ballet pink, 1 gooseberry, 1 sunshine, 1 linen, 1 raspberry, and 1 sugar. For the raspberry pillow, I used 2 raspberry, 1 ballet pink, 1 gooseberry, 1 sunshine, 1 linen, and 1 sea foam. You will also need 5 buttons (1.5 cm in diameter) and a 14 by 14 in (35 by 35 cm) square pillow insert. The buttons allow the pillowcase to be taken on and off the insert. I hope you enjoy the pattern!
