I created this pattern years ago when these shawls were all the rage (Jessica Simpson had appeared in several of these, produced by Cecilia De Bucourt).

This shawl is made using the Delta Technique, which produces the Flower of Life pattern. With this technique, there are a couple little ‘tricks’ that are absolutely critical in producing (flower) ‘petals’ that hold together and are spaced properly. This pattern includes very detailed instructions and step-by-step, petal by petal, row by row, illustrations that make it very easy to learn!

Shawl is worked in one continuous piece beginning at bottom corner and so can be made of any size.

The (optional) chiffon fringes are fun - most fabric stores carry a wide assortment of chiffon colors and you simply snip and rip the chiffon to create the fringes (they fray naturally). Using multiple colors of fringe can be very pretty.

MATERIALS:
-- 1000 yds Sport Weight yarn worked double stranded OR 500 yds Worsted Weight (see description for suggestions)
-- Crochet hook size K/10.5 (6.5 mm)
-- Chiffon (optional, for fringe)

You Will Also Need:
ruler or cardboard (for making fringe)
scissors
tape measure
yarn needle
