This project was based off a similar idea I once saw on Pinterest where snowmen were made with sock hats and terra cotta pots. Being my crocheting self I wanted to give it an update! These little snowmen work up quickly, great for stash busting or making in bulk. I made mine for my snowman loving sister (I’m convinced there’s a snowman lover in every family) and also for a craft fair. You are welcome to sell these in craft fairs, just please give credit to Melody Nordberg Designs.

This obviously requires some additional materials beyond yarn. The best thing about that, though, is it gives you room to be creative with what kind of face you want your snowman to have!

The terra cotta pots have a 4” opening and are about 4” tall before the hats. Additionally you will need acrylic paints for the face, hot glue for assembly, and thin cardboard like from a cereal box.
