Sandals with sisal-soles, made for street-wear.
The instructions describes step by step how to make the sandals, for any teen/adult size and foot-shape!

OUT-SOLES and INSOLES:
The sandals are not possible to make without soles, so included in this pattern, you’ll find tutorial for the Door-Mat Soles used for this design; My easiest method for How to make customized out-soles for street wear.

Handle the sandals as a pair of Espadrilles.

FOOT-PIECE:
The foot-pieces are made by the diagonal (triangle) of my “First Flower of the Year Square”, used for the Florence-dress.
Make it in any material you like.
I have a passion for raffia, also called bast; Soft fibers collected from the inner bark of certain plants and trees. Great for summer accessories.

Materials foot-piece:

YARN: Fingering/1.
Any yarn not too heavy for this design.
TWINE OR STRING:
Any natural fibers are great, like hemp, linen, sisal or jute. Size about 1-2 mm.
RAFFIA: (My choice)
Any brand. I have used Rafia by Adriafil/Italy.
Bundle 25 g (0.9 oz), 50 m (55 yd)
Colors: Pink, White, Natural, Green, Orange.

Total amount any material:
About 50 g (0.9 oz).
Crochet hook:
EU size 2,5 - 3 mm (US C/2-D/3), or any hook size matching your yarn.

SIZES: Any size.
The pattern for the triangle on foot-piece, is the same for all sizes, and will be adjusted in size by changing yarn/hook.
Thinner/thicker yarn, and/or smaller/larger hook, will create different sizes for the piece.
