This is an ornamental crochet sleeve that was featured in Der Bazar in 1861, and La Mode the following year. It has a net made from chain and single crochet, and a soft cuff made from the Goblin stitch. While not the warmest style, the cuff is actually rather cozy, and does create a buffer at the sleeve to keep you warm.
