The pattern works up into a lovely vertical flower. I went for a hibiscus (but I didn’t have any orange, so it’s red, yellow, and white instead).

Use any worsted yarn you please to make your favorite flower colors. However, I strongly recommend you do it in a thick sturdy cotton. The cozy will stand up better that way. Kitchen cottons for the win!
