Do you love unusual, textured stitches? I do.

The combination of the puff flowers with the extended rope stitch gives this jumper a highly textured design which is fun to crochet but not one for doing while you’re watching the TV. I listened to the radio a lot when I was designing this one!

The pattern includes a full and detailed photo tutorial for the textured stitches so don’t be nervous about trying these!

I don’t know about you but, for me, crocheting is often quite a personal experience. If I’m crocheting a gift for someone, I’m thinking about that person throughout and pouring my love into my creation. When I’m designing, there’s usually an idea, a feeling or an emotion behind the design and this is where I find my inspiration.

When I was a little girl, my family used to call me ‘flowerpot’, which is a term of endearment in Yorkshire where I grew up. My sister still calls me flowerpot and we’re both in our fifties! The name of this pattern therefore elicits lots of happy memories for me. I hope you enjoy making it as much as I enjoyed designing it.
