My mother was looking for an edge to applied on towels so she found a nice border with little flowers that she has reinterpreted changing its position, the shape of the stem and the flowers, she has adapted it not only to do our niece’s baby carriage sheets but also for a tulle skirt and the matching shirt, on an headband etc. In short this edge is very versatile.

First of all you will find the pattern of the edge with colored flowers that you can use as desired. This edge has 3 variants: only leaves, only flowers, leaves and flowers. Then I will show you a practical and quick way to sew a set of linen baby carriage sheets with the flowers border.

Nothing prevents that this sheet, in appropriate measures, becomes a towel.

At the end I will give you other ideas of the edge’s possible use.

Materials:

• White linen fabric
• invisible thread
• White sewing machine thread
• White embroidery thread number 25
• Lisle thread nº10
• Crochet hook 1.25mm (US10)
• needle -pins
• scissor
• meter
• sewing machine

The sewing machine is very useful, but in this case you can do even without it by arming yourself with patience

The pattern is suitable for an intermediate level of crochet knowledge and a basic level of sewing. You should know basic crochet stitches including chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, treble crochet and how to start with a magic ring.
