FLUCTUS SHAWL

The inspiration for this shawl is all about waves. The repeating waves of the lace pattern, the wavelike points along the lower edge, and even the ocean colour of the yarn.

This crescent shaped shawl has an interesting construction. The middle part of the top border is knitted sideways from a (very short) provisional cast on. Then the shawl is knitted down from the sides and bottom of the top border. Finally, the waves of the bottom border are created with short rows as you bind off in sections.

Both charts and written instructions are provided.
