The hedgehog spikes are formed using lash yarn, which give him a lovely soft texture.

The easy but effective technique combined with the tinsel yarn makes for a unique crochet hedgehog cushion.
The pattern features a full colour chart for work the intarsia colour changes on the front.
You will need:
• 2 balls 100g Stylecraft Special - Toy
• 1 ball 100g Stylecraft Special - Parchment
• 1 ball 50g Stylecraft Eskimo - Old Gold (This is the lash yarn for the spikes)
• Scrap of Stylecraft Special - Walnut
• 4 mm hook
• 1 x 10.5 Safety eye in green
• 3 x approx. 2 cm diameter buttons (hedgehog shaped if desired)
• Tapestry needle and sharp scissors
• Cushion insert 18 inch x 18 inch (approx 45 x 45 cm)
