Just a fluffy hug! Don’t we all need to be our own huggable teddy bear :)

Pattern workflow:

Fluffy sweater is worked from the top down in the round. Starting with the neckband, then shaping the back neck with German short rows. The yoke is with increases. When the yoke is done the sleeves are placed on waste yarn or stitch holders, and the body is worked in the round and ended with a rolled hem. The sleeves are placed back on needles, underarm sts are picked up and knitted, worked top down in the round, with decreases, ended with a rolled cuff. (Note: If using boucle yarn, the nature of the yarn makes it so that it will not roll up, but be more relaxed).

Gauge: Stockinette in the round = with main needles:

15 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm {4 x 4 inches} in stockinette in the round.

The given gauge is after washing and light blocking.

Suggested needles:

Note that these measurements are only achieved if the correct gauge is kept. Begin by knitting a swatch to determine which needle size you need, to achieve the correct gauge before starting the project.

Main needle:

5,5 mm {US 9} circular needles (60 {24 inches}, 80 {32 inches} or 100 cm {40 inches} or double pointed needles for small circumference.

Smaller needles

: 5,0 mm {US 8} circular needles (60 {24 inches}, 80 {32 inches} or 100 cm {40 inches} or double pointed needles for small circumference.

Yarn:

Drops Alpaca boucle (50g = 140m/153yd) 5 (5) 6 (6) 7 (7) 8 (9) 11 balls.
Yarn alternatives could be a fingering yarn held together with a lace yarn, or a DK yarn held single – you might need to change needle size to get gauge.

Notions:

1 stitch marker, a row/round counter, waste yarn or stitch holders for resting stitches, scissors, measuring tape and a darning needle.

Size guide and ease:

The sweater is designed to have approx. 18 - 25 cm {7-9,75 inches} of positive ease.
The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 71-76 (81-86) 91,5-96,5 (101,5-106,5) 111,5-117 (122-127) 132-137 (142-147) 152-158 cm {28-30 (32-34) 36-38 (40-42) 44-46 (48-50) 52-54 (56-58) 60-62 inches}. The measurements for the finished garment are listed in the table below.
Before beginning your project, measure yourself to determine which size to knit. For example, if you measure 85 cm {33,5 inches} around your bust (or around the widest part of your upper body) you should knit a size S. A size S sweater has a bust circumference of 105,5 cm {41,5 inches}, which in the given example would give you 20,5 cm {8 inches} of positive ease. If you would like a more oversized fit, knit a size larger size and vice versa for a less oversized fit.
