Fluro Sox
32 sts and 44 rows to 10cm over stocking stitch with 2.5mm knitting needles.
Available in 5 sizes, to fit from uk 3 all the way up to uk 12.
These socks are a simple ‘toe up’ with heel and gusset construction, worked with magic loop.
The idea was born on a ‘Knit in Public’ day with a little trip to a Local Yarn store. It just so happened that ‘It’s a Stitch Up’ were having a Pop Up, showing off a selection of their beautiful yarns.
My initial thoughts - Take all of my money!!
What first attracted me were the ever so bright minis. They were lined up perfectly in a window display. I didn’t want to ruin the display, but I wanted to take them all home with me. I knew I had to make a pair of socks utilising them. Once I narrowed it down to 2 colours (super hard choice, but I do love an orange), I then went and squished the 100g hanks. Also a hard choice, but once I found a hank with just the right flecks of colour to go with the minis in my hands - the sock idea was set.
The yarns I came away with that day, grew up to be the ‘Fluro Sox’ pattern you see today.
