Flutter-by Butterfly
The Flutter-by Butterfly. Butterflies have four different life stages. During their short lifetime, they undergo a complete change, or metamorphosis. Each one begins life as an egg, hatches into a caterpillar, pupates into a chrysalis and then emerges as an adult. Butterflies need warmth to be active and fly, and they need to drink nectar for energy. Provide both, and you’ll have a butterfly haven. Absolutely fascinating! Pammaggie enjoyed the Manchester Bee and Bumble Bee projects so much she asked for another design that focussed on a beautiful insect. So here it is; the newest design and pics of the finished article complete with tassels.
We have developed the pattern in different formats to follow: in a grid/block chart pattern to follow throughout, crochet symbols (for the first 5 rows so that you understand how to increase on each row) and written instructions for the first few lines until you get into the swing of it!
The 4 ply multicoloured yarn that was used to create this adult size shawl, was a hobbii twister which looks absolutely stunning.
Knowledge of filet crochet is needed to be able to do this project. Filet crochet is not hard to learn and there are you tube videos to help.
