Introduction
These adorable Flutterby Hearts are the perfect token of affection for your loved ones or besties. They are super quick to make and only use small amounts of yarn. They are constructed simply by making 2 of the hearts which are crocheted together and the flutterby frill added at the end. Just think of all the wonderful colours you can make these in! They are perfect for individual hanging decorations or you can string them together as pretty bunting to decorate any room. They also make the perfect motif for yarn-bombing!

Inspiration
I love the images of the highly decorative Mexican Sacred Corazon or ‘flaming heart’ designs which represent ‘love’, ‘healing’ and ‘gratitude’ and one of the most common symbols in Mexican religious art. Some of the designs have a crown and wings and it was this that gave me the idea to create ‘wings’ for my heart - I hope you love making them.

Materials Needed
You can delve right into your yarn stash to make these hearts as they only require approx. 7-10g of any DK yarn. 2 colours
3.5mm (US E/4) crochet hook

Finished Size
Each heart is approx. 10cm (4in) wide x 9cm (3.5in) length (not incl. hanging loop)

About the pattern and difficulty level

• Available in UK and US crochet terminology.
• Clearly written instructions with photos to show stitch placements.
• Basic crochet stitches used with special instructions for double treble crochet stitch (US treble crochet) for those not familiar with this stitch.
