The toys are knitted in the round and that is why the pattern is recommended for Advanced Beginner Knitters.
The finished:Thick Mushroom is approximately 12 inches (30 cm) tall.
Thin Mushroom is approximately 13,5 inches (34 cm) tall.
Small Mushroom is approximately 9 inches (23 cm) tall.
Hat Fits: * new born babies UP TO 3 months old
Gauge: 16 stitches and 22 rows = 4 inches (10 cm)
Required skills:
K = knit
P = purl
Sts = stitches
Kfb = knit into front and back of stitch
K2tog = knit 2 together
P2tog = purl 2 together
K3tog = knit 3 together
CO = cast on
RND = round
Materials needed
• 4 double-pointed needles in a size suitable for the yarn weight you are using. I recommend using needles a size or two smaller than the yarn calls for, to produce a firm fabric. İ used Needles US 6 (4 mm)
• 300 gr red yarn for caps. I used Alize Superlana Maxi ( 25% Wool, 75% Acrylic; 100gr (3,53 oz) = 100m (109 yds) ). /Yarn weight - Chunky /
• 200 gr white yarn for stipes. I used Alize Superlana Maxi ( 25% Wool, 75% Acrylic; 100gr (3,53 oz) = 100m (109 yds) ). /Yarn weight - Chunky /
• 50 gr white yarn for Distinct Rings. I used DMC Natura Just Cotton ( 100% Cotton; 50gr (1,8 oz) = 155m (170 yds) ). /Yarn weight – Fingering/4-Ply /
• Toy stuffing
• Yarn needle
• Stitch holder
• Armature wire (about 180 cm lenght)
• White felt for spots
All rows are worked in the round.
