FLYFLY

Butterflies, dragonflies, and damselflies, the kaleidoscope of these little messengers of summer adorning the shawl will keep you cozied up during chilly days! An authentic stitch pattern is created using exaggerated slip-stitch technique that is enhanced with the use of two different stitch textures. Alternating striping sequence between solid and gradient hand-spun yarns transforms this design into a fun and engaging knit, while a compressed depth and wide wingspan allows for it to be styled with ease!

This shawl pattern was designed in collaboration with Do Ewe Knit yarn store in Westfield, NJ to celebrate their 10 year anniversary!

Spincycle Yarns “Dyed in the Wool” (100% merino wool); approx. 200 yds /183 m per 2 oz / 54 g;
CC / gradient - “Ewenicorn” (pink) 3 skeins
Sample shown final weight is 327g.
You can make your shawl larger. Please account for additional yarns quantities.

OR use 821 yds / 750 m for MC and 511 yds / 467 m for CC in any other sport weight yarn with similar properties (yardage includes 15% padding for swatching)

Written and charted instructions are provided. You can follow the pattern according to your preference.
Always slip sts purlwise.
Switch Solid and Gradient yarns for a different effect if desired, or use two solids, or two gradients.

You can separate each pattern repeat with stitch markers if desired to keep better track of pattern.
