Flying Arrows Pocket Shawl
I wanted to make a pocket shawl that was wider and a bit less lacy compared to my Lattice Pocket Shawl! I still wanted to make something fun so I added little arrows along the edges to give a nice texture and finish!
The pattern breaks down to basically a two row repeat for the edges and every fourth row of double crochets is a hole row (with the exception of the pocket outlines to avoid holes in your pockets!)
The arrows section comes with photos to show how to make them. This shawl measures approximately 67” x 19” to give ample coverage! You can always add length or shorten after the first pocket outline is made! I prefer my pockets to not have holes so I’ve made solid squares where they will be sewn into place!
I think this would look great in a solid as well as any of the striping cakes! Fringe or no fringe!
I used 2 full Caron Big Cakes in Rainbow Jellys and half a skein of Red Heart Solids in White for my twisted fringe.
The gauge on this is roughly 10 rows of alternating dc and sc rows x 12 dc across = 4”x4”
