Works up best using at least two contrasting colors (1 light color, 1 dark color). No weaving in ends if you make a border (link to instructional video included).

Terminology - US terms
Experience - Confident Beginner
Finished Size - Approximately 13”H x 12”W using yarn weight 3 (DK), a 4.5mm crochet hook, and approximately 200-220 yards of yarn. However, you can use any whatever yarn you like and accompanying hook size.

YARN & HOOK RECOMMENDATIONS
You can use whatever weight yarn you would like and corresponding crochet hook. I recommend sizing down 1/2 mm to 1 mm hook size. Tighter stitches work best with mosaic crochet.
