El Flying flamingos Shawl es mi creación para el #RetoTeje3Palabras organizado por @beagle.knits y @merinoferoz. Es un chal triangular asimétrico en bies. Se empieza por la punta más pequeña y va creciendo por un lado a la vez que disminuye por el otro. En la primera sección, que representa los montones de sal del Salar de Uyuni, se trabaja una textura cables de 2 puntos que se pueden tejer fácilmente si aguja auxiliar. La segunda sección se trabaja a base de un calado en color de contraste que representa el vuelo de los flamencos y le da un toque muy bonito a la prenda. El tamaño es fácilmente modificable (el consumo de hilo variará).
Es el diseño ideal para introducirse en el mundo de los cables ya que los cruces con solo dos puntos son muy fáciles de hacer y la secuencia sencilla de memorizar.

Tensión
Antes de bloquear: 20 sts * 26 rows en 10cm en punto textura.
Después de bloquear 18 sts * 23 rows en 10cm en punto textura.

Agujas y otros materiales
Agujas circulares de 5mm o de la medida necesaria para obtener la tensión con cable de 60cm.
2 marcadores.
Aguja lanera.
Aguja auxiliar para cables (opcional).
Bases de bloqueo y alfileres.

Medidas finales
183cm de largo y 98cm de ancho en la parte más ancha.

Flying flamingos Shawl is my creation for the #knit3wordschallange organized by @beagle.knits and @merinoferoz. The challenge was to be inspired by 3 items (color, emotion and place) chosen at random from those proposed by their Instagram followers.
Flying Flamingos Shawl is asymmetric triangular shawl worked in bias from the narrowest point.
In the first section, inspired by the salt piles of the Salar de Uyuni, there is 2 sts cable that create a texture, and which can be worked easily without a cable needle. The second section has a lace that represents the flamingos flight and gives a touch to the shawl. Size can be easily modified but the waste of yarn will change.

La Bien Aimée Merino Singles: 100% merino single; 400 yards (366m) /100g. 1 skein in color AIMEE’S SWEATER (CA)
ChileKnitz Cuddly Sock 85% merino, 15% nylon; 437 yards (400m)/100g. 30gr in color SUNSET (CB).

Gauge
Before blocking: 20 sts * 26 rows in 4”/10cm in texture st.
After blocking: 18sts * 23 rows in 4”/10cm in texture st.

Needles and notions
US8 (5mm) circular needles or the size to obtain the correct gauge with 24” (60cm)
2 markers.
Yarn needle.
cable needle (optional).
Blocking pins and mats.

Finished measurements
72,04”/183cm long and 38,58”/98cm in the widest point.
