Flying Geese Afghan
Some of my favorite vintage quilts are made in the Flying Geese pattern, with various fabric scraps used as the dark color and plain muslin used as the light. I seleceted all sorts of colors in 100% cotton yarn that went together in a pleasing manner, and placed them randomly when assembling the afghan. This is a great pattern for variegated yarns as well - those squares remind me of vintage calico.
This could also be a great stash buster pattern - use up your scraps for the darks and just purchase enough of the neutral to hold it all together!
