Flying Geese Sweater
This sportsweight sweater is a classic crewneck yoked sweater, laden with interesting details. The stranded yoke pattern mixes colorwork, slipped stitches and reverse stockinette in a design drawn from the classic quilt block. The triangles are echoed in a subtle, all-over cabled stitch in the body and sleeves, while striped edgings give a casual, sporty feel.
This sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. Short rows are worked to raise the back neckline. After working colorwork yoke, sts are set aside for sleeves and body is worked in the round, to waistband. Sleeves are worked in the round from yoke down.
Warning: when worn, the radiating colorwork yoke feels joyfully regal--like an Elizabethan ruff, or maybe an Alexander Girard illustration of the sun. You might not want to take it off.

After purchase, two pdfs will be available to you for download. One contains baby and child sizes, and other the adult sizes. They are in separate pdfs for ease of reading.
Difficulty Level
Intermediate to advanced. The pattern involves stranded colorwork with long floats that, because portions of the pattern are worked in reverse stockinette, cannot be caught/ trapped on the wrong side. It also involves maintaining a cabled pattern while working short rows (all cables are worked on RS rows).
