Pattern for knitted hat with decorative stitch, worked in the round. From a book in Japanese which translates as ‘Berend Kestler’s Knitted Hats’ (translated elsewhere on Ravelry as Knitting Hats by Berend Kestler’, but that is inaccurate). Book is also available as a Kindle purchase. One ball (skein) each of main colour and accent colour -uses only 2/3 ball of accent colour. One size; adult. Comes out small adult using yarns and needles specified. Needle size is Japanese 7 which is 4.2mm but there is no option to enter Japanese sizes on Ravelry. The pattern is charted so I think not too difficult to understand if you look up Japanese knitting symbols and make use of the Google translate phone app.
