Foal and Blanket
This foal is an addition to our horse set to complete your equine family. If you haven’t knitted the horse yet, we suggest you start there.
The pattern also includes a blanket to stop your foal from getting chilly.
Size: The foal stands approx. 10cm tall (4in)
Difficulty: Easy
Stitches used: kfb, k2tog, p2tog, sl1k, sl1p, sl1k1psso
You will need:
• Wool for the main body, approx. 25g. I used Double Knit (8-6 ply, “light worsted”.) Tension: 10cm x 10cm square is 24 stitches across and 32 rows.
• Small amount of wool for the mane, forelock (fringe) and tail
• Wool for the blanket, approx. 10g.
• Knitting needles – I used 3.0mm.
• Tapestry needle
• Tiny little bit of black or dark brown wool to stitch the eyes
• Stuffing
