This pattern gives instructions for a hat with rib turn back, hat without turn back and a cowl. All instructions are given to be worked either in the round or flat.
The pattern has an all over fake bobble - fobble pattern in a contrast colour which is simple to work.
One ball of each of two colours will give you enough yarn to make both a hat and cowl.
