Fogtown Cowl uses a sport-weight wool yarn in 2 or more colors. Long interval self-striping yarns work very well in this design. While 2 colors is a minimum, you can use more than 1 main color and/or contrast color as long as there is sufficient contrast. There are 2 colorwork patterns included for you to choose between for the top section.
The pattern is written for 2 sizes. The smaller size (measurements given below) fits children, or adults who prefer a snug fit (more of a neck “gaiter”). The larger size is a bit roomier and sized for adults (this is the sample size shown in the photos).
This pattern is one of 5 in the Fogtown Set: Hat, Mittens, Mitts, Socks and Cowl.
