The Fogyle Socks were inspired by argyle socks. Who doesn’t love argyle socks? But sometimes intarsia is just not in the cards. So I’ve created a faux argyle pattern along the leg of these socks using knits, purls, and twisted stitches.

Sizes: 7 ( 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9)” foot circumference to fit women to men

Gauge: 8 sts & 12 rows to 1” in stockinette, blocked

Materials needed: Fingering weight yarn (approximately 350 - 425 yards per pair of socks). Because these are socks, and you want them to last a long time, please choose a yarn that has a tight twist and either contains some nylon or use a reinforcing thread in those sections of the foot where you have the most wear (typically, the heel and the toe, although I generally wear through my socks in the ball of the foot). I used Trippin’ with Dixi Migration in 3 Kittens Needle Arts’ exclusive colorways inspired by the 1940s - Fatigues and Red Cross. You can purchase these colors here.
