A tactile and practical Hexagon which can be used as a mug mat or coaster. The Hexagons can also be easily joined together to make a larger item.
The pattern has been written as a practical way to practise Folded Crochet stitch technique’s. It is accompanied by two blog posts. Links are given for all the technique’s and a stitch chart is included.
It demonstrates various ways to raise stitches and how to place increases when using these techniques.

Any yarn can be used with it’s recommended hook size.
The sample uses 7 colours of Schachenmayr Catania and a 3.5mm hook. Samples made using sport-weight and DK, 3.5mm to 4mm hooks, uses 60-80metres of yarn and are 16-17cm in diameter.
