This cowl is a fun concept, made with a little creative folding and seaming of a rectangle. It’s also a more economical use of yarn than most cowl patterns. I love how it drapes, and also that the back is narrow enough to sit comfortably under a jacket collar.

Since both sides of the fabric are visible on the front, I made the rectangle reversible and in the round. Instructions include how to start the project using foundation stitch worked in the pattern stitch.
