Foliage Scarf
Emilee Mooney’s Foliage hat pattern was published in Knitty’s Fall 2007 issue. Last spring, I modified the pattern to make a scarf. With spring’s approach getting closer every single day, I decided to revisit and share this pattern with everyone. It is easily adaptable to be worked in a dk or worsted weight, in whichever width you’d like. Thanks, Emilee, for such a great pattern.
Note: Leaf Lace Chart used in this pattern comes from Foliage’s Knitty.com page. This chart is copyright Emilee Mooney and is being used with her permission.
Materials
2 skeins of NaturallyCaron.com Spa or approximately 500 yards of dk weight yarn. Worsted weight may also be used, as gauge is not terribly important here.
US size 7 needles
Gauge
As this is meant to be a drapey scarf, gauge isn’t terribly important here. With my yarn and needle choice, gauge was equal to 5.5 stitches per inch in stockinette stitch. Alternatively, you may use any worsted weight yarn.
