This pattern was written because I realized that I didn’t have a “go-to” vanilla sock pattern that I could cast on and carry with me everywhere that I go, just in case of waiting times.

I had been coveting a skein of Leading Men Fiber Arts Show Stopper in the Foliage colorway for two years, ever since I saw it at Shepherd’s Harvest festival and did a double-take. I tried to resist the urge to get yet another skein of sock yarn, but it haunted my dreams that weekend as I was helping my friend at her booth for the show. Ultimately I knew that I would have to give in and get it. I’m so glad that I did. The yarn is genuinely fantastic, and the colors are to dye for!
