A folie à deux is a delusion or psychosis shared by two people. This particular folie à deux is shared between me and designer Kathleen Lawton-Trask (author of Silver Screen Knits, Volumes One and Two, connoisseur of classic films and blogger) who sent me more yarn than any one person should possess and gave me full reign to do whatever I wanted with it. The inspiration for the resultant two designs came from the timeless style of Audrey Hepburn. Hepburn’s effortless grace while rocking casual stripes is truly enviable!

This dress and pullover were designed in a choose-your-own-knitting-adventure style. Do you want a dress or a sweater? Do you prefer knitting in the round or flat? What’s your 1x1 ribbing preference? Long or short sleeves? Crew neck or scoop? Graded stripes? Equal stripes? No stripes at all? It’s up to you. Choose the aspects you like best and run with them.

Actually, don’t run with knitting needles. Someone could get hurt.
