24 sts = 10 cm; 4” with Super Sock in stockinette stitch before blockage, and 22 sts = 10 cm; 4” after blockage.

NOTE
This shawl features a central section shaped like a downward-pointing quadrant (see the green area in the diagram), where 8 stitches are added every six rows. Additionally, on either side of the quadrant, there are extra increases (shown by the pink triangles) and a series of short rows (indicated by the blue triangles) to widen the piece. The white dashed line on the schematic depicts the increases.
The traditional, feminine silhouette of the shawl is updated with a lace band located in the center instead of at the edge and is further enhanced by varying yarns, textures, and colors.
