This shawl is designed to work with a large variety of yarns and to be made into a large variety of sizes. If you use something other than the recommended yarn size and recommended needle size, please use the recommended needle size for the yarn you are working with. The shawl can be made into any size desired, just by knitting longer. It is recommended that if you only have two balls of yarn that you start your decrease when you have reached the end of the first ball, or slightly before, to ensure enough yarn to complete the decrease.

The pattern is essentially three parts; the main shawl body, the lace divider, and the leaf edge. Markers are placed on either side of the lace divider. The markers help delineate where you are in the shawl as to speed memorization of the 14 row leaf pattern.

If you make this shawl, I would absolutely love it if you could post pictures. It’s always wonderful to see what people have made with the pattern!
