This is a very nice pattern for a folkloristic sweater for a toddler. The pattern is for a size 12-18 months, but you could make it in any baby or toddler size. It’s easy.

There’s both knitting as sewing in this pattern. You knit the large cowl-like collar and you sew a kimono styled sweater. Then you sew the collar in the large, square neck opening. And that’s it! It’s not difficult at all! You can make the sweater lined or not lined, and quilted or not quilted.

It’ll be a nice sweater for cold days and you could even wear it as a jacket for fall….
