Follow your curve dress is one of three patterns using the same slip-stitch pattern. There is a Follow your curve-scarf, as well as fingerless gloves.

Design
Follow your curve is a shaped dress that with the opportunities to be worked to follow your curve of the bust/waist and hips.
The shoulder, the elbow-length sleeves and the border at the bottom of the body are worked in an unusual and beautiful slip-stitch pattern. Underarms are shaped with an integrated gusset for a great fit.
As the dress is worked top-down you have the possibilites of working it to flatter your figure. You can work it without waist-shaping, with shorter (or longer) sleeves, as a pullover, a longer dress….. it’s entirely up to you:)

Construction The dress is worked top down in a seamless construction. You start by working the upper back from a provisional cast on. Slooping shoulders are shaped by simple short-rows. Right and left fronts are worked from the backs provisional cast on and joined when all increases are made for neck. Back and front are joined at underarms. The lower body is worked top down and in the round, with waist and hip-shaping along the way.
Sleeves are worked top down and in the round, starting from a small gusset. The ribbed neckline is worked in the round from picked up sts.

Sizes finished bust circumference (below underarms) is 80/86/92/97/103/108/114cm = 31.5/34/36/38/40.5/42.5/45”

Materials
Yarn: I used Wollmeise Pure Merino Superwash, a fingering weight wool that comes in skeins of 150gr/5.29 oz and 525m/574yards. You will need approximately 3/3/4/4/4/4/5/5/5 skeins of this specific yarn. Please note that amount of yarn needed is approximate, it depends on how you knit, the yarn you choose, and also if you make adjustments of the length or waist-shaping. Needles: Choose needle size to obtain gauge. You will need straight (or circular needle) size 3mm/US2.5 for the upper body. You need a circular needle 3mm/US2.5 for the lower body. You need a circular needle, or a set of dpns, 3mm/US2.5, to work the sleeves. You need a small, circular needle 3mm/US2.5 for the neck. Notions: For the provisional cast-on: a crochet hook and contrasting yarn in the same weight as your working yarn. Separate holders. Cable needle. Tapesty needle.

Gauge 28 sts and 38-40 rows in stockinette sts = 10x10cm/4x4”

The pattern
The pattern gives all necessary stitch-counts. All measurements are in cm’s as well as in inches.
There is a scematic. The slip-stitch pattern is written out row-by-row and round-by-round.
