You will receive two versions of the shawl with this pattern.

The first, large version sample shown using a full cake of Scheepjes Whirl in Raspberry Rocky Roads and a 3.5mm needle, but you can use a 4ply yarn of your choice. Finished measurements 215cm x 75cm

The second version, measures 180cm, 80cm, it is versatile and I designed it to enable you to add your own personal touch. By using a yarn weight of your choice, different colour combinations and experimenting with the needle size you will be able to create some very different looks with this pattern making it individual to you. Sample shown in Scheepjes Spirit (4ply) with a 4.5mm needle.

There’s also an optional “knitted-on” lace cast-off technique included which I hope you enjoy trying.

Here are some colour ideas:
• Make it all one colour - I would recommend a solid or semi-solid yarn for this option or self-striping with long colour change repeats or a gradient yarn

• Make the three different patterns three different colours (as in this version)

• Make the lace a solid colour and the garter a variegated yarn - in this version, omit the garter ridge and work garter pattern instead

• Make the lace a solid colour and stripe the garter section – work 2 rows one colour, 2 rows another colour in the garter section. Omit the garter ridge pattern and work the garter stripe pattern as described instead.
