Nestled between the Rocky Mountains and the Canadian prairie lie the Alberta Foothills – a roughly 50 km wide strip that is home to gently rolling hills and glacier-created river valleys. The Foothills are such an integral and noticeable part of this region that they have lent their name to many community organizations and one of our largest hospitals here in Calgary. My home looks southwest to the Foothills, so I get to enjoy them every day. Beautiful sunsets over the Foothills are the inspiration for this multi-coloured cowl.
