When knitting these socks, I wanted to make the most of the yarn I had. I used the traditional 3-ply on the cuffs because I had a bit less of that and the chain-ply on the toes and heels. One nice thing about afterthought heel socks is that you can use whatever yarn you have more of or even make each heel a different yarn! This pattern really allows you to get creative and even break the yarn when the contrast isn’t visible enough.

The Footpath Socks continue the journey that JoAnna started of 3-ply 2 ways and add a bit of a mosaic twist to the path. I hope you enjoy discovering your own paths as you knit and wear these socks.
