This sock really is the blueprint to create the coziest socks in any yarn in your stash!

Jump into the basics of sock knitting with these classic toe-up socks — in 5 sizes and 4 yarn weights! And if these are your first socks, you can jump in with quick bulky weight and learn the necessary skills without getting bogged down with many tiny stitches. The pattern is designed to use the Magic Loop method (my favourite!) and features German Short Row Heels for a speedy, slick heel. I designed this pattern for my students, who kept asking what to knit next after their first bulky sock. They wanted familiar instructions and similar techniques. So, I wrote this just for you. For your next pair…for your hundredth socks…or somewhere in-between.

I use titles and text background colours to indicate instructions for fingering (yellow), dk (green), worsted (purple) or bulky (blue) yarn. So, if you plan on printing this out, I’d recommend printing in colour! Included are also copies of the pattern with each weight isolated, so you can select just the yarn weight you’re knitting with!

Pay What Works is a method I am exploring in my efforts to balance financial accessibility and sustainable pricing, while still valuing my work! The price shown on Ravelry is the “true” value of the pattern, reflecting the work (and love!) I put in to creating designs behind the scenes.
