Footsies
So, I had a little over 45g of aran weight acrylic/wool mix without a forever home and perpetually cold toes… What’s a girl to do, eh?
I’m not entirely sure how to describe these … barefoot sling-backs? … heelless ankle socks?
Whatever you want to call them, they’re very quick to make, really comfortable and keep the toes nice and warm.
You will work to your own measurements throughout so the pattern will work for any gauge, weight of yarn or foot size. Bear in mind that the overall effect will differ, as will the yarn requirement.
I used about 43g of aran weight (worsted / 10-ply / #4) with mainly a 6mm hook (8mm for the chain). The shade was Croft Grey (which isn’t a grey at all but a true Aran off white). I take a UK size 4 (Eur 37, US 6) shoe.
It is assumed that you are familiar with the techniques involved, which apart from basic crochet stitches are making and working into a magic ring, extended single crochet, increasing and working an invisible join.
You will need one stitch marker.
