Footy slippers
These footy slippers have garter stitch soles, stocking stitch uppers and optional i-cord laces.
Not only are they practical and fun to wear, but they also make a fantastic novelty gift for every one-eyed supporter. The patterns includes six sizes, so you can knit a pair for everyone in the family!
The slippers have been divided into three styles, based on the number of colours required, accommodating all eighteen AFL teams.
If you prefer rugby or soccer or any other sport over Australian rules football, you can still use this pattern just substitute your own club colours.
To fit foot: 14 (18-20-23-25-27) cm 5½ (7-8-9-10-10½) ins.
Yarn required: Lincraft Double Knitting 8ply, 100g balls@266m.
1 ball of each colour.
Needles required: A pair of 4.00mm UK 8, US 6 knitting needles.
2 double-pointed 4.00mm UK 8, US 6 knitting needles (for optional i-cord laces).
Wool needle for sewing up.
Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm 4 ins over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.
