I have a distinct memory of making a satin pink Valentine’s box with my mom when I was about 7 years old. It was beautiful with doilies and paper hearts all over it! These hearts remind me of a little paper doily heart, that is what I was trying to evoke! Use your favorite 1.5 mm hook, size 10 thread, earring findings, glue, and stiffening spray to make these earrings.
Size 10 crochet thread in 2 colors as desired, approx 10 yards each, samples are Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread size 10 color A: Burgundy, color B: Cream
Size 1.5 mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle and scissors
Earring findings: 2 fishhook style earrings or 2 flat stud earring
Fabric stiffener, like Aleene’s Fabric Stiffening Spray, t-pins, and a blocking mat
If using flat stud earrings: quick bond glue (cyanoacrylate) like Krazy Glue/Super Glue/Gorilla Glue OR E600 jewelry glue
