THIS PATTERN IS AVAILABLE FOR FREE ON MY FACEBOOK GROUP WHILST THE CAL IS RUNNING. YOU CAN TAKE PART IN THE CAL ON RAVELRY IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO JOIN THE GROUP. ALL 4 PARTS WILL BE RELEASED SIMULTANEOUSLY ON RAVELRY AND YOU WILL RECEIVE ALL PARTS PLUS A COMPLETE COMPILED PATTERN FOR THE PURCHASE PRICE.

This mini cal is to make the beaded edged shawl as shown. This will run for 4 weeks beginning Monday 30th March. Each part will be uploaded into the “Files” section in the group and on Ravelry.

Part 1. Monday 30th March
Part 2. Monday 6th April
Part 3. Monday 13th April (when I should have been enjoying my cruise! with our admin Christine)
Part 4. Monday 20th April (when I should still have been enjoying my cruise)
All parts will be simultaneously released on Ravelry but as a paid pattern. Only group members get the benefit of the freebie.

All parts will remain free in the group until Monday 27th April, they will then be removed and only available thereafter as a complete paid pattern.

For the blue/purple sample pictured you will need:
1 Scheepjes Whirl plus some Whirlette approx. 200m
1 pack (approx 500), size 8 beads - I used Debbie Abraham ones
60 - 70 larger beads - I got mine from Hobbycraft some time ago
Size 3.5mm crochet hook plus the usual scissors, stitch markers etc.

My finished size unblocked was 135cm x 76cm and my tension was roughly 23dc (US) to 10cm.

The testers have been posting their samples with information regarding their yarn choices and pictures of these are now in the Albums on the group.

I’m really looking forward to seeing all your creations, I just know they are going to be beautiful and bring some fabulous colour into these stressful days
