This cowl has textured motifs of hearts and dog paws, and celebrates the bond between dog and owner. The cowl is tall and narrow, and fits inside your coat collar to keep you warm (perhaps while you are out walking your furry friend). It can be folded in half for extra warmth at the neck.
Gauge: 23st and 33 rounds in pattern after wet blocking. While gauge is not critical for this project, differences in gauge will affect yarn usage and the finished dimensions of your cowl.
Finished dimensions: approx. 10.5” (26.5 cm) tall, 22” (56 cm) circumference.

A solid colour yarn will work best to show off the textured motifs.
I used a light dk yarn with 140 yards per ball, the cowl took a shade under 2 balls. If you use a yarn with different yardage your usage requirements will vary.
