I have been wanting to my own version of a ribbed crochet hat for a WHILE now and finally got around to it! This hat is PERFECT for stash busting your chunky and super chunky yarn AND since I designed this for Valentine’s Day, it has instructions for an added heart appliqué you can make and add to your hat! This is a one size fits all hat with instructions to make either a fitted or slouchy version of the hat. I also include instructions on how to make the hat wider or smaller to fit your head! I include lots of photos as well as some helpful videos to go along with this pattern to help make sure it is as easy to follow as possible, even for beginners!

Materials Needed:
• 130 yards (fitted/shorter) OR 190 yards (longer/slouchy) - Additional 30 yards if you plan to make a Pom Pom
• Super Bulky Weight (6) yarn or two strands of bulky (5) weight yarn held together!
• 8-9mm crochet Hook
• Jumbo (4”) Pom Pom Maker or Fur/Faux Fur Pom
• Tapestry Needle & Scissors

Gauge (2”x2”) = 5 SC BLO sts x 5 rows of SC BLO

Yarn I used: A mix of super bulky (6) weight yarn including Lion Brand Hometown, Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick, Michaels Brand Loops & Threads Cozy Wool, Michaels Brand Loops & Threads Cozy Alpaca and other similar weight yarn. You can also hold two strands of bulky (5) weight yarn together for the project!
