Designed for the Spartickes Dyes Holiday Yarn Club for August. This pattern is being sent to the club members on August 15th and will be released to the public on November 15th, 2014.

August is World Mutt-i-grees Rescue Month! This special month serves to remind people that there are tons of healthy and happy animals waiting and wanting to be adopted at shelters across the world. Sadly, 8-10 million animals enter shelters each year and an estimated 3-4 million animals are destroyed because they were not adopted.

These socks are named after a quote from Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer: ‘For justice, and for… the safety of puppies, and Christmas, right? Let’s fight that evil! Let’s kill something! Oh, come on!’

I love yarn, but sometimes it is hard to find a pattern that can showcase the yarn while having a pattern incorporated smoothly. This pattern works so well with variegated yarn, self striping and solid yarn, making it so versatile and fun!

Worked from the toe up, the intuitive pattern makes them a quick knit while having enough interest to keep you interested and excited to keep going.
