Forbidden Flowers
Forbidden Flowers is a beautiful lace shawl that can be draped over the shoulders, or worn around the neck as a scarf. An interesting choice for a bridal shawl as well, as it straddles the line between traditional and modern….
The design reflects my interest in Art Nouveau motifs and Estonian knitting techniques, especially the 3-to-7 increases. These increases are very interesting to work, and not hard at all, but require some attention. The pattern consists of a combination of written instructions and charts and is best suited to the intermediate and advanced lace knitter. There are also photo tutorials and links to video tutorials for those who consider themselves to be “visual learners” -- myself included!
A special thank you to my test knitters, Kei and Sri, fantastic knitters and people -- thank you for lending your time and talent!
