Gauge
22 sts = 4 in. You want to use the needle size that gives you this gauge with the yarn you have chosen. For me it is US size 5 needles. Start with your gauge swatch with that size. If you don’t make gauge with that size, go up or down a needle size as needed until you have gauge. This hat will fit a teenager / adult.
