Forest Berry Jacket
Inspired by the silhouette of the 1930s- and 1940s, and with its decorative berry pattern, the Forest Berry Jacket is the perfect knit for all of the Northern seasons. It is knit down and up, with raglan and slight puff sleeves.
While the sleeves are knit on circular needles, the bodice is knit back and forth.
Needles: 3mm and 4mm
Yarn option: Pickles Merino Tweed
Yarn option: Fabel Knitwear Ask
Str: (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL)
Bust: Aprox (80) 90cm (100cm) 108cm (118cm) 127cm (132cm)
Note that this pattern has no intended ease across the bust and is meant to fit just so - it might even go down to a few centimeters of negative ease.
Go for the size you usually wear, but beware if you go for the recommended yarn it may be a bit tight at first until the yarn eases out.
Quantity Merino Tweed: (200) 200 (200g) 300g (300g) 400g (400g)
Gauge: 21m = 10cm.
NOTE ON AVAILABLE SIZES - if you want to knit this, or any of my patterns, in a larger size than I currently have published, please get in touch! The only reason it is not available in larger sizes is I couldn’t get testknitters for those sizes, and I don’t want anyone to pay for a pattern and knit a size thats not been tested. So if you would like to (test)knit this - or any of my patterns! - in a larger size than is currently available, drop me a message and I’ll send you the pattern for free!
